Scalextric Night A night of fun was had by aprox 20 members with some close racing and good competition. Phil Scholes having made it through an earlier round as fastest looser went on to be the eventual winner.
Thanks to S Horton for track preperation etc.
Guest Speakers on 26th November were Dougie and Kris Hall from Penrith. The 40+ members and guests saw the in car camera footage from Kris's Fiesta ST on Mull this year before Dougie told of his start in rallying back in 1984 in a Toyota rust bucket (His words not mine) and how he progressed through Escorts, Mitsubishi's and eventually getting his hands on a Focus WRC. Although he tried to avoid stories about his 'CRASHES' host D Calvert seemed to know about most and did his best to remind him.
Kris then told of how he started at the age of sixteen navigating for Dougie before swaping sides and taking the wheel at Seventeen. He then told of his success in the 205 challenge, this years Fiesta ST challenge and what he hoped to do next year.
The Mull Forum on the 18th November was attended by 50+ members and
guests who watched various video footage from this years event including the
roll by David Stubbs and the view from John Copes bumper cam. We then had
a short Mull quiz with the profits going to Jack Neal's memorial fund. This was
then followed by brief reports (The If's, But's, and Could have's ) and a question
and answer session hosted by A Douglas.
